MS. MARY- Atlanta, Georgia
Mary Laidler (AKA: “Ms. Mary” and “Steppin’ Cowgirl”) is a native of Chicago’s Southside. She embraced dance at the early age of 8, and over a course of many years won numerous dance contest with her two brothers Jigger Bugging, Bopping, and Swing Dancing at Church and Community activities. Ms. Mary was introduced to Chicago Style Steppin’ in Atlanta, GA where she participated in “Chicago Style Steppin’” dance class at her Church with instructor Anthony Jones. Her love for the dance lead her to many Classes and Instructors which include, but are not limited to Venus El’Fa’Tin, Steppin Out, The Steppers Club (Sarah Teagle)/The Steppers Workshop (L.C. Henderson), Claudel Jackson. Just Moe, Margaret Fisher, Candace Hinton, and Brian “Steppin B” Patterson
Her love for this rhythmic art form led her to extensively learn it and love it. Ms Mary is currently the Program Director for TSWGA (The Steppers Workshop Georgia) and SteppinB.com Atlanta. She thanks GOD for blessing her with the gift of rhythm and the gift of teaching, and plans to direct this dance until she can't dance anymore.
